Ademola Lookman

Age has a lot to do with it in my opinion. Look at how Pep has improved Sterling's game. I'm not sure he'd be able to adapt Walcott in a similar way. If Lookman is coached properly, and has the right attitude, he'll improve. Walcott won't because his best days are behind him. I'm not proposing to ditch Walcott, but similarly, I think it would be refreshing for Lookman to start a run of games soon. Like most people, to be an Evertonian having these types of options and discussions is beyond our wildest dreams!! Things are really starting to move forward. Exciting times.

But he doesn't need to be starting games as we are winning already! His chance will come, some (like me) will say his chance has already came and he is taking it. He is getting game time week in week out and a decent amount of it.

Age has nothing to do with it right now. It's about winning games and getting points, something we are doing fairly well.

Equally the people saying Richarlison needs to move back to the left..why?? We are winning!

Every time he gets the ball in the final third, it feels like something could happen. I was asking for him to start, but maybe keeping the same team is what we need to become better. I believe he deserves more minutes though and should start. a game soon, if he has a bigger impact, give him a run. Walcott or Bernard could be rested. I. believe Lookman would score more goals than either.

Personally feel we/he are much better with him on the wing. I thought it was an opportunity missed against Chelsea and their full backs who play halfway up the pitch.

Reckon Lookman will be getting starts next year, but not now and certainly not next week

He should have started against cardiff imo, cant see him starting the derby like. Hope he scores soon!

I stuck up for Allardyce last season in terms of him initially steering us from danger, but his refusal to use Lookman was one of the things that quickly turned me away from thinking he could be anything more than a rescue type manager.

Lookman did excellent for the Sigurdsson goal and Allardyce rewarded that with not playing him the rest of the month and telling him he wasn't good enough and sending him off on loan.

We need to keep him here as he has a bright future ahead of him.

Loads of praise from the manager in today’s press conference.

Said he’s “more than ready” to take a place in the starting line-up.
Didn’t specify if that’s gonna happen on Sunday or not.

It’s the first time he has said anything along those lines though so it is very interesting that he has come out and said it before a derby

I'm almost, 100% certain that it will be the same 11 again.

I think Silva loves having Lookman to bring on and I don't blame him.

When he's in the mood, which at the moment he is, he's such a good impact player.

I understand the clamour for him to start but people need to understand that if a defender has had Bernard to deal with for an hour, then has to deal with the pace and trickery of Lookman, it's a little tactical victory right there.

It's not the first time he's praised him tbf. He did say 'Lookman is the present and future of Everton' in the summer.

But yeh, first time he's said that he's definitely ready.

I don't think he'll start on Sunday, but I'm sure we'll see him on at some stage.

I think he may have to wait for a poor result or a poor performance.
Players who are doing well do not deserve to be dropped.
Zouma was unlucky with the Chelsea game or may still be in the team.

With the amount of games over next 5 weeks there will be more changes than just Lookman in the starting 11 for some of them
