Ademola Lookman

I was listening to Mark Lawernson recenty on the radio on this side of the pond, i wouldnt be a big Lawernson fan, but he said something i found very insightful about Paisley when he was at Liverpool and integrating young players.

When it was thought they could make a contribution to the first team Paisley would go to the young player and say, im putting you in for five games, it doesnt matter if you are bad in one game, you are going to be starter for the next five games and we will see where we are. He said it immediately took the pressure of the young lad, to go out and perform better. He was talking about Rashford, Foden etc and young lads getting bits of games here and there, but i was thinking of Lookman. I found it pretty insightful, it must be hard to get momentum going and anxiety provoking to know that you only have a snippet to fulfill your dreams for lads of limited maturity.

I not saying the above approach is the key to it all, but their are definitely nuggets of wisdom in it and lessons to be learned.
Good approach to take pressure off and be honest that you rate the player and will give him a chance

Needs a run of games to find his feet and build confidence, but will we be patient with him , or revert to kopite behaviour and slag the lad off soon has he has a bad performance. The lad needs his confidence building and he isn't alone in needing this

I'd keep him in the side and have him as an inside forward primarily, not out on the wing.
Definitely, get him on the left and see if he can be a goal threat and let him open the space for Digne to bomb on and get deliveries in. As good as Bernard is technically and his eye for a pass his movement hasn’t been threatening defenders for a while now.

Tbf, the slagging Lookman’s got hasnt been based on his performances really, more on him trying to bail to Germany in the summer and dragging his feet during preseason.

Done nothing of note but still gets touted as some future superstar, he'll eventually find his level in the Championship or League One the horrible sulking little turd.
