Journalist writes story that Southampton were going back to basics buying young english talent like before and developing them on a thursday and friday their buying our Ademola for 20 m :-( The lad has never insulted club or anything but fans want him booted out as he was'nt the next Messi :-( Until club says it I'll not believe a word about supposed 'bid' ! I got no major beef with the boy, in my sensible days I want him to succeed, here, hes got the talent, I just feel as tho he doesnt really like the club, the area and im mentally preparing myself for him leaving.

In an ideal world he isnt a sulky little brat and we can look forward to him putting in the work over the preseason and showing his talent next season, but I honestly cant see that happening. So instead of finding a negative in us potentially selling a good player I mask it with hate and abuse.

As Mikey said earlier, people are different on the internet, ive never abused an Everton player at the match or on their twitter, even the really crap players who I hate like Niasse, but I dont hate Lookman, im just really disappointed in how its all playing out.

Still think we should try to hang on to him, especially if Vlasic leaves. If either Richarlison or Bernard is unavailable, I'd much rather turn to him than Walcott, Mirallas or Bolasie.

We will definitely sign one wide player and a striker who could also play wide, so I wouldn’t worry to much. And bolasie & Mirallas won’t be around next season.

Surely we have to get rid of the others with no future in this team before we consider selling one of our best young player.

we need to get the wage bill, we will also need to raise funds. If Brands thinks he can’t get 60mil for Lookman, Vlasic & Onyekuru. And buy 2. 30mil pound players in their positions who he’s thinks are better or havevmore potential. And his opinion is the only one that really matters, then he will probably do it.

Dont want us to sell him as I think he could become really special but if he goes, we need to insert a massive sell on clause and then a ridiculous clause if he should mobe to Liverpool, like City did with Brahim (they put a 15% sell on clause in his deal which jumps to 40% if he goes to Utd)

I’m not sure if this is correct. Getting rid of our promising youth with Low wage bills while plenty sit around with wages few hundred percent higher. There might be other valid reason to sell him but using wage as a reason is just silly.

Who mentioned his wage , because I didn’t. And this policy of buying young and selling for profit, doesn’t just mean players you buy for £40 and sell for a £100 like Richarlison.

Also will include the likes of Lookman 8 mill to 25? Onyekuru 7 to 20 and Vlasic 10 to 20.

And It’s not point in keeping young players who’ve had a coupe of season around the 1st and still haven’t broke in. Sometimes you have to cut your loses. And invest the money better

I think the figure OF 20M-25M is about right given where he is at in his career and I am not sure he has done more to earn us a bigger fee... unfortunately.

I really wish he would have gotten more of a chance this season. Like for real, how bad was he in training that he couldn't beat out Theo??? He looked good in the spurts that he had against Tottenham this past weekend though.
