Ademola Lookman

I feel Silva doesn't trust him , so I expect him to be shipped out . Lookman himself must be frustrated in the chances he has been given , so in his mind possibly is thinking he needs a move for the good of his career

Something that most other players don’t have or can’t do. He has some skills and turns I have seen him do in the box and thought it was extremely impressive and not many players , especially on our team can do it. He can skip round people with ease and that is something which cannot be coached. Barkley has power, pace and dynamite in both feet from distance which made him special for his age. Lookman stands out more that Davies, JJK, DCL and holgate as our best young player that is trying to break through. I seen him play England youth games and he stands out like dogs balls when he has the ball, his time in Germany shows he can perform and produce in means footy and the only thing left is to give him a decent go at the prem
My thoughts have always been that he has great ‘skill’ but very little idea what to do with it. He can skip past a couple of people but then pass the ball straight out for a throw (genuinely seen him do this a few times) or nutmeg someone then take on a ridiculous shot instead of seeing the pass right in front of his face. He’s like a 5 aside player.

That’s because he’s not been given chances . Give him a chance if he plays well and he still wants out then we sell him for more , if he stays then great . If he turns out to be not good enough we will still sell him for what we paid
selling for what we paid is a loss on what he has been paid. There are too many like him we will make a loss on. I would sell now for a profit rather than prove he is not all that and sell at a loss.

Define "X-Factor"?

I would say Gana has "X-Factor" because he can do what no-one else in the team can do, in fact very few in the league can do, bar the like of Kante and Ndidi.
He is the most elusive dribbler in the team and has the best snap-shot of anyone in the side (aka take quick shots off the run without having to wind up). It will be interesting to see if he ever makes it here, but I wager he could if given minutes.

That’s a worst case scenario, I believe he would improve and thus give us bigger profit or if he’s playing and starts to actually enjoy his football... we will have a very good player

You have literally just defined inexperience. Game time will improve this and if it doesn’t then that’s how you know he’s not going to be a top player. He can’t improve any more than where he’s at already without first team games

I think thats why we are talking about him so much. The Martinez treatment of Barkley - in hindsight - was to give him loads of time, patience, a long run of games, but probably not tough love and tough coaching. Lookman is getting the opposite, coaching and tough love, I would guess, but no games yet. I think its worth a try to give him one season, and either his value goes up and he gets sold, or his value goes up and he stays and helps the team

Bobby was weak , didn’t push the players , didn’t train them , they were unfit and he was constantly blowing smoke up barkleys arse making out he’s the next Zidane. Ross also turned lazy and seemed to stop trying the things that made him stand out, people were saying that managers thought he was uncaochable and he was weak mentally. Lookman may be the same but he seems very confident as opposed to Ross and the only way to find out is to play him. Ross wasn’t confident and was extremely fragile. Ross at 17-19 was exceptional for that age but seems like he was either given to much to early , stagnated , give up, wasn’t intelligent enough or was to mentally fragile to fulfill his potential

What’s funny ? He probably is the best dribbler in the squad in terms of trickery and the comment about his shooting is pretty on point as well. He’s clearly a good talent or do you disagree with Silva and Brands on this ?

Of course he can. You don’t just automatically get better by playing more games, that’s one of those weird urban myths that people swallow for no apparent reason. There’s a long list of Everton youngsters who ‘just needed games’ only to get them and remain average.

You need games to get better that’s a fact ... games don’t guarantee you will make it , but he will never improve without games .

You know, DCL is the best in the league at nailing the left corner with bicycle kicks too, he just never does it. Kinda like Lookman and this great shooting ability people claim him to possess. So good at shooting with both feet, but never scores, not even close. Google his highlights for Everton, how many of his shots are directly at the keeper or way off target? All but 1 or 2 you say? Mhm mhm, very impressive finisher indeed.

I always wanted him to stay but Marco barely gives a chance to kid, so I won't blame if he opts for a German club. Think he will be big in the future. Good luck
