So we had a normal conversation about a player, I put forward my views, you put forward yours, we tried to counter each others points, no animosity... then all of a sudden you get eggy and decide to try and make out I was arguing in bad faith. At least I know not to waste my time in future.

Dont get all sour at me because i dont want to play your internet games. Ive said what i had to say about the issue, why would i reiterate the same points over and over again when you just twist them to me claiming more knowledge of a player than our manager or insinuating i see myself as superior because i think work ethic is a good and fairly common trait in people. Getting back to football matters it is June when we will see loads of players leaving whose contracts are up. We have quite a few and our dear neighbours I am told are looking to unload upward of 10 players. We might find another Sheedy from their cast offs.

I love that people are discussing Lookman and his “job”. The life of a footballer is not comparable to 99.9% of “jobs” out there.

He clearly has talent but doesn’t appear to have done enough to win over our manager. Best off we get rid and get someone in who the manager trusts to play.

I interpret his most recent criticism as again being primarily down to attitude, work rate etc but ultimately who knows. I agree if he's not improving then there is no point, just like I think its pointless keeping him if he doesn't want to be here.



Maybe it is unprofessional but I was equally unprofessional at that age. In-fact even at the age of 38 id say my ability to perform to my best in a job is influenced by how happy I am in said job... even if its only at a sub conscious level. His attitude was never criticised at any of his other clubs with both Charlton and England u20's manager speaking highly of him, his attitude must have also been on point in Leipzig hence why Hassenhutl is supposedly interested in signing him for Southampton

I wasnt, and i hated my job at 21ish. Most people do, yet still show up and learn their trade in a professional way. Dont make excuses for his diva behaviour and lack of work ethic.

There are a lot of business strategies based on results which show people behave better in certain conditions.

It could be something so simple as improving the lighting in a room but if people are happy their performance increases.

Everyone can speculate as to his attitude but Silva and Brands both spoke highly of him but then Silva barely played him and insisted on the woeful Walcott.

If i was Lookman, I would want to play as much football as possible at his age and for whatever reason, he is not getting game time here.

I want him to succeed but i feel he is going. Not being selected will just spur him on even more. At RB he was playing regularly and scoring and assisting and building something. He will look at Sancho and feel he can emulate that.
