Being prejudiced to your own ethnicity or seeing another ethnicity being superior to your own.

White people, being prejudiced to white people for example, like in the Tom Davies thread. lol

Cheers a new term I hadn't heard before.

Almost like being an Evertonian then. Every other teams players, management and setup is superior to our own.

One could almost be forgiven for thinking that all these managers who don’t pick him have a reason. Thankfully we have voices of reason on here who can watch the highlights on American tv in their mums spare room and educate us all on who is and isn’t a good footballer.

Hey hey leave me Mums spare room outta this

Sadly if you question his work ethic and his attitude it means your racist.

It defo doesnt mean hes an entitled little petulant child, the problem is us, not him.
Tbf people seem to let it slide with Vlasic a whole lot more often. I mean I haven't seen any rat gifs in his thread.

Neither have you seen any in the Henry thread, the Bolasie thread, the Niasse thread, well you see where im going with this?

Anyway, im gonna leave this subject alone, ive had already a warning for, lets say banter that was taken in the wrong context, so this will be my final word on this particular subject.

I can only speak for myself, ive no problem with the colour of young Molas skin, I take issue with his PERCEIVED attitude and work ethic, something that quite a few managers who have worked with him have pointed out, I take issue with his PERCEIVED begging to leave, as pointed out by Red Bull last Summer. But ive no beef with the boy, if he wants to stay and work, fight for a place, great, I think hes got lots of talent, but if he wants to leave, well good riddance, hope he flops, same with Vlasic.

I dont see football players colour, I only see their talent and hunger.

From the start of your use of the rat nickname for Ademola I've been put off a bit by it but I also see all your other posts around here so I kind of let it go. But then to come and post something dismissive of racism, which is undeniably a huge issue in football generally, while also calling a black player a filthy animal, regardless of what he has done or has been perceived to do, is something I'm not a big fan of.

Well im gonna be honest mate, if you think black people are filthy animals, im gonna suggest its YOU thats the problem.

The word rat is a common insult in these parts, not once have I considered its usage racist, im gonna be honest im starting to find these accusations of racism for using the word RATFINK a little insulting myself.

I didnt dismiss racism in football, I just defended my POV, I dont hate him cos hes black, I dont even hate him for a start, anyway, I would suggest this has ran its course from my POV. If you wanna discuss it more might I suggest MORRISO, erm, send me a PM.

I'm not calling him a filthy animal as much as pointing out that referring to him as a rat is using a filthy animal describe him. I know you know that but I'll say it anyway. Regardless I live in a place where casual racism is a common daily thing so maybe it is just me being a bit more sensitive than the average person toward that sort of thing. Lastly the sarcastic bit about how anyone questioning his work ethic is racist is being dismissive of a legitimate racist stereotype.

I mean I really would prefer not to carry this on but I've always felt like the criticism of Lookman has always toed the line a bit and since it was brought up I figured I'd say it.

When did calling someone a rat make someone racist? So people are allowed to call players like dan gosling a rat because of the way he’s been perceived to have acted but not Lookman? Not sure how that works?

Calling someone a rat tends to allude to their personality traits ie not to be trusted. Nothing more than that. To suggest the poster has used the term in a racist way is just pure wrong in my opinion and that’s said by someone who often takes issue with posts I think are out of order. The poster you’re accusing often has a go at both black and white players and I’ve never seen them use a racist term to do so.

I alluded to it in a subsequent post an I'll say it again here before I drop this: I think this might be something that just plays differently where I'm from. I'm not from Merseyside and it feels to me calling someone a rat, or donkey which I saw aimed at Bolasie a lot and felt similarly about, plays to a lot of stereotypes about black people that are unsavory to say the least. If that's not how it works then that's fine and I'm sorry to bring it up but that's how I have seen it.

You keep making posts saying you're going to drop this, and yet you continue to reply. Please start a thread on one of the non-football forums and everyone who wants to discuss this with you can go there.

Sorry, that’s my fault as he’s purely replied to my post that was directed at him. I just felt that it was grossly unfair to suggest someone is racist when they’ve done nothing to suggest they are.

I’ll also not post about it again.
