Because thats what big clubs do, you mitigate the risk, his potential is massive, the position the selling club has all the leverage. Might never use it, but we may, buy him back then sell on again for more of a profit. He’s going to be worth more next summer then this and on....

I’m very disappointed to see him go, I believe he’s not happy in the north west though.

Im gutted to see him go, think he has great potential but I accepted months back that Everton isn't the right club for him. I doubt the player would want a buy back clause inserted either, he'll want a clean break and if a buy back clause is inserted he'll know that if he performs really well then he will run the risk of going back to Everton the following season.

He needs a fresh new start, Leipzig is a good club for him. I want to see him reach his potential if only for the England national team and the fact I'm an absolute sucker for players with ridiculously quick feet.

I agree, he’s not happy, has massive potential, but I don’t really care. I don’t expect him to come back here, I’d expect us to buy back for 30 mill and sell for more, look at Jovic this year. As the selling club we have the leverage, the player wants away RBL are desperate for him, I’d insist, or at least first option with a discount.

Just think it’s short sighted myself.

It’s pretty simple, he won’t play for the club again, if he does well and his value appreciates and he has high profile admirers, buy him back, sell him immediately, make a profit.
 
I hope there's a sell on clause or one of those that we get more money with the number of games played and England selection or something...at least it'll make us feel better
Do we get anything if Lukaku goes to Inter or Juve?

Edit: Sorry thats a bit over the top, McNeil is decent in a bad attacking team but there's no way Burnley would let us pay a cent less than what Lookman goes for and I don't think that is worth it.
