Ademola Lookman

Everton have told RB Leipzig they must meet their asking price if they want to sign Ademola Lookman.

The Bundesliga side have reignited their interest in the Blues winger after failing with bids last summer.

Everton insisted Lookman was not for sale and stood firm in the face of Leipzig's offers – and the player's desire to leave Goodison.

The Blues are now prepared to sell the 21-year-old but only if the valuation of the youngster - thought to be in the region of £25m - is met.

Lookman has travelled to Switzerland with the Everton squad despite picking up an ankle injury in the friendly with Kariobangi Sharks last weekend and could be involved in the game with FC Sion on Sunday.

Marco Silva has repeatedly spoke of the faith he has in the 21-year-old but admitted that issues over his consistency in training meant he only picked him to start three Premier League games last season.

Everton, said to have rejected an opening offer of £15m this week, are likely to demand a package closer to £25m.

Seems like a terrible idea keeping a player who doesn’t want to be here.

Each to their own, id have a very low threshold for the tail wagging the dog myself and be maximizing our leverage and mitigating the risk, playing on the lads desperation and the will and want of RBL. i think its best for Everton.

I think if the 22.5 Million shout is true, then we should probably sell him at that point

If he doesn't want to be here then he's only going to be a toxic influence on everyone else

I'd tell him that he can go if he puts a transfer request, so that he voids any loyalty bonuses, and if Red Bulls agree to a sell on clause

This is so cheeky from Red Bulls IMO

They could clearly pay what we want, so just pay it. It get that clubs will try and buy players for less, like we're doing with Zouma, but sometimes I think all this haggling gets kind of ridiculous

He'll absolutely rip that league up and inflate his value because that league is very poor to where RBL will probably sell for 40+ if he has good seasons which he should, 15m is an absolute joke offer.

Begs the question of why we are selling him really, I see many saying in this thread he will be worth double what we will sell him for.
Because he hates it here and Silva barely uses him, 20m+ is probably fair but I'm almost certain he'll tear that league to shreds not Sancho levels but he'll make an impact and his price will go up with him being young and also has the English premium so if any of the big boys fancy him he'll go for stupid money.
I'm a big fan of him but I can't defend him he hasn't made an impact at all tbh.

So Bayern were trying to sign Hudson Odoi for about £40mill, yet these are bodding £15mill for Lookman. Taking the pee!!!

Name a realistic price and refuse to deal unless its met - we need a Palace or someone to come and offer £23mill. Where are Bournemouth when you need them
sadly in the world of business everton are not seen as a big club so teams will lowball us for players who have first team experience and have proven themselves

meanwhile joe suggs at liverpool who has never made a first team game or scored a first team goal would get an initial bid of 50 mil just because he's attached to a champ league club
