At the end of the day, there must be a reason why he's not been getting as much chances as we think he should have. He'll do well there and probably get in the England squad in a couple of years. 21 is no age to give up on someone, but he's not worth £22m to us at the moment, he plays a minute or two here and there, £22m is what we're paying for one of the first names on the sheet like gomes.

Chalk this one down to unfortunate circumstances boys. Had he been signed under Silva or Martinez, or had Unsworth been kept on until the end of 17/18, Lookman would likely have got much more game time so we really could have seen if he was worth the hype.
17/18 was a very tumultuous time at the club and for any player it could be disenfranchising and disillusioning.
Hope he does well in Germany.

I hope he finds what he's looking for in Germany and we're smart enough to insert a sell on clause just in case he happens to turn out boss

Each to their own, id have a very low threshold for the tail wagging the dog myself and be maximizing our leverage and mitigating the risk, playing on the lads desperation and the will and want of RBL. i think its best for Everton.
At 15 mill we are clearing about 10 mill, 25 mill in the magic number for me, id accept 22.5, with either a buy back or % of a future deal, when he ends up at Bayern, Spurs or Arsenal.
