He'll do well there and probably get in the England squad in a couple of years. 21 is no age to give up on someone, but he's not worth £22m to us at the moment, he plays a minute or two here and there, £22m is what we're paying for one of the first names on the sheet like gomes.

Chalk this one down to unfortunate circumstances boys. Had he been signed under Silva or Martinez, or had Unsworth been kept on until the end of 17/18, Lookman would likely have got much more game time so we really could have seen if he was worth the hype.
17/18 was a very tumultuous time at the club and for any player it could be disenfranchising and disillusioning.
