Richarlison is an interesting comparison because they are similar ages and to me in need of similar things. Silva put his arm around Richarlison and encouraged him from day one. He's always taken a major interest in his success and backed that up with his actions. Lookman hasn't had that here at all and when he did get it at RBL he thrived. I'm not sure why Silva was unable to do the same thing with Lookman.

Also Silva publically calling out Lookman is rich given how he behaved after we tried to get him from Watford originally.

Ok I take your point but name a game where Lookman started where he took by the scruff of the neck. Only time will tell whether the club have made the correct decision, In regards to Coleman’s limitations Richarlison has played well that side which to a degree has helped Coleman’s game. I don’t see the influence from Lookman. Silva sounds a more reasonable guy than Allardyce but he can’t make allowances for young players with questionable attitude.

Lookman's number of starts is so low that it's tough but he did have 1 assist in the 3 starts he had this season. 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 if you include Lincoln and Millwall. That isn't that bad.

Richarlison has a different style. He isn't trying to find space in between the lines as much so he doesn't need the same type of support. The Newcastle game I remember Lookman and Coleman never being able to find the connection.

The thing with it is that they've gotten in while the financial regulations still mean nothing just like City and PSG did. So if they can build a football brand fast enough they'll be ok long term just like City and PSG will. Smaller scale obviously but still the same concept.

It's basically money laundering for a criminal enterprise. If you can get away with it long enough eventually you can build enough real business that you don't need the crime to prop it up anymore.

They literally wouldn’t exist without an energy drink, that’s the difference between them and PSG and City.

Saying 2 goals and assists in 5 for Lookman isn't bad is laughable but saying 2 and 4 in 30 for Bernard isn't good enough is met with scorn. I'm not going to pretend to understand. And I know Bernard is a model citizen and everything but what is his main job.
