He plays as a forward, some people call them Strikers, it's hardly a million miles away.
Call it what you want playing center forward and playing on the wing are not the same thing and that's what the people I'm talking about meant.

Someone was legitimately saying part of our problem was we played him out of position here, like he should have been coming on for Rom and eventually Tosun/DCL. That is obviously not true. And the reason people are saying that is he played centrally tonight, I think for the first time all year but at worst one of the few times, which to me shows that they watched one game and decided it was a good time to draw conclusions. Just silly.

He played quite central for FC soft drink I think as well. But certainly not as a 9.

Unfortunately the DOF has to take credit/blame for all the signings. Playing this who done it game with signings when you aren't in the building is not a good way to do it. He's got the sign off so it is on him.
It's palpable though isn't it? I mean, you wouldn't ever say that Klaassen (a next door neighbour of Koeman and part of a club he had massive connections with) was anything other than a Koeman signing. Whereas Lookman and DCL plucked from the Championship were Walsh signings.

DCL arrived a few weeks after Walsh did so I really, really don't think that's a Walsh signing and is very much a pat on the back to Unsworth who spent time as Sheff United academy manager when Dom was coming through.

He couldn';t be lining it up in the preceding weeks?

Lol.

It defo wasn't a Koeman signing. He wouldn't even know who he was.

Good to see him getting a regular run of games which is what he sorely needs. He's got a lot of talent which we're seeing now, he just needs lots of minutes to refine his game. You could say the same for another Fulham player who did well last night, Loftus-Cheek. Shame to see such talented players playing so little football.

He couldn't be bothered staying here and moved. We got double the fee we paid for him.

Don't understand the longing for him

I suppose we are all noticing that he would have added something we are lacking and would have improved the squad. We offer no threat off the bench.
personally, add him barkley and del to the squad and we would have be capable of squad rotating our way to be a serious top four threat. Of course they have all moved on, we should get over it... but like that fit bird you pulled at cream in the 90s... can’t help wondered what if...

The issue was...he didn't like being on the bench so he left.

All he had to do was bide his time. He didn't.

I do get "what could've been" but the others were pretty much regular starters.

He was simply not getting any minutes, despite the fact that on the rare occasions where he did get subbed on he looked better than most of our other wide players apart from probably Richarlison.

Which is fair...but he went through 3 managers who did the same.

It's happened to him at RBL too.

So it's either the managers...or the player behind the scenes.

I've said before...don't blame him for wanting to go and get games. But he's either got to fight for a place at a bigger club or play regularly for a Fulham etc.

I thought Loftus-Cheek was going to be a real player but after the World Cup he seems to have stagnated badly.
