I think there is more talk about Lookman than he probably deserves, yes I am aware of the irony.
W e want him to stay more because of him wanting to leave than because of anything he has done in the game to date. We have seen glimpses of potential but in all honesty I would not have had him in the starting eleven last season but would have used him from the bench...pretty much as Leipzig did apart from the last few games ... and by then they knew they wanted to sign him and wanted him to feel involved.
He has potential but I feel that the best thing he can do is settle down, work hard and convince his manager that he should play.
He needs to be careful that he doesn't build a career blaming somebody else for his lack of success.
I am interested in how good people think he can become ?
I agree about the starter thing. But the sterling claim is blue tinted specks sterling was a vital part of a Liverpool side that almost won the league at 19.Him not being a regular starter would be idiotic.
Him being sold is just plain negligence from whoever makes these decisions.
He is better than Sterling at same age and will be a huge PL star very soon. It HAS to be with us. Even if it means Walcott or Sigurrdson don't start, this lad has to.
So the club didnt in anyway lie or mislead anyone, we didnt want to sell any of them, this is true however we had no choice, it was taken out of our hands by those players. Maybe not so much Rooney but that is too far in the past to have any relevance on current situationsThere's one thing in common with all of these.
We said we didn't want to sell. And we sold all of them.
Is he beating Walcott for a place this season?

No, Walcott is a much better player with a greater understanding of being a team player and making the correct choice more times than not. Something Lookman needs to imporve on from what we've all seen. Lookman very Raw with great potential, whether he knuckles down and fulfills it only time will tellIs he beating Walcott for a place this season?
But, what is the potential of someone like Lookman ?To be fair, if your manager is playing Bolasie instead of you when you have the potential of someone like Lookman then you do have a good reason for blaming someone else for your lack of success.
What is Silva to do if Lookman says he wants to leave and will not stay under any circumstances ?If we sell Lookman this summer even for £20m then it’s a scandal of the highest order. He should be given regular minutes to show what he can do this season and it be made clear to him that he is an important part of Everton’s future.
If this kid does leave I for one would be extremely disappointed
He's under contract. He doesn't call all the shots. What is Silva to do if Lookman says he wants to leave and will not stay under any circumstances ?
Considering Walcott's legs are made of glass, I'd say there are plenty of minutes for him.
