Wish the Goodison crowd would realise that their loud groans every time a player makes a mistake (particularly our young players) doesn't help one bit.... We did it Barkley, we did it with Stones, we do it with every kid we have......result is, either the player couldn't leave the club fast enough, or lost their confidence and lost their way...

Putting way too much emphasis on the importance of this. Stones wanted to leave to play Champions League football. Everton fans could have cheered his every single touch of a football and this would still have been the case.

No idea what goes on in Barkley head but he strikes me as mentally weak anyway. Hardly flourished with confidence since he left has he.

I'll say this again.

It doesn't matter how much he wants to leave if Leipzig aren't willing to offer an appropriate fee of 25m or thereabouts. He can cry all he wants. He wont be going anywhere.

The Goodison crowd is awful, even away its poor compared to what it was about 10 years ago, we think we have great support because the tickets sell, at time the team wold play better if the match was behind closed doors

If that's the case then we need to bin the lot and sign some guys with the self belief needed to succeed in top level sport. Top players believe in their ability and turn situations around. Weak players shirk and blame others.

Ha - evidently you were not around in the cushion throwing days from the Goodison road stand - reading a great book now when the great HK was struggling the players dreaded playing in front of 9,000 attendance than a big gate as they knew the cushions would be thrown at them - also the personal insults were clearer to hear as the Ground was dead ....
my older brother told me he had packed in smoking , and was stood on the Glawdys street - a guy came up and asked for a light of his cigarette - told him sorry - his reply was that's a 100 yards I've walked and still can't get a light for my ciggielol

Agree on this, however its not that easy especially if you have youth in the side

That because most of the squad are cowardly biffs who wouldn’t be in the premier league were it not for the tolerant nature of our club and a fan base that will still seemingly get behind utter carthorses if they get to anywhere approaching passable level.

Hi Joe can you ask your brother for the name of this man as we will be able to apply for a retrospective ban for him for smoking

I don't know. I'm only surmising.

If reports are to be believed, we've rejected about 18m. So logic follows that we want more. Perhaps Silva is genuine when he claims he's simply not for sale under any circumstances, but normally we all know that players have their price.
I’m on the fence. There is talent there but if he wants off then we’re not going to get the best from him. I think it would be bad form from him if he wants out considering Silva has said he is in his plans.

It was a low gate standing - can you imagine Goodison with 9,000 in it for a game?lol
on topic you have to wonder why Walcott and Lookman have not featured yet ....
injured allegedly?

The party line is they are both injured.

Walcott has an ankle injury. He's been seen walking round with a protective boot on so think his issue is genuine. He's due in training again on Monday.

Lookman is also supposed to be injured but no diagnosis on what the problem is. He's supposed to back training on Monday too so if he doesn't appear next weekend then presumably he's off.

Bolasie has now supposedly had a stomach bug for over a fortnight. Make of that what you will...
