Ademola Lookman

I found Lookman quite underwhelming in the brief cameos we saw, but I was optimistic about him coming back after a promising spell in Germany. With his nemesis Allardyce being replaced by a much more attack-minded coach, it seemed as though everything was in place for him to have another crack.

I suppose that if Silva can't guarantee him enough game time - you'd have to think that Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Walcott are all nailed on to start the season - it's simply a case of not wanting to force an unhappy player to linger around the squad. Let's just hope that whoever is negotiating the deal will insist upon either a buy-back or a significant sell-on clause.

if we sold him it'd give me a glimmer of hope we'd be after lozano though. But he'd surely be nearly twice the price of lookman?

Whether it’s fair or not, unless he stars in Europe with Leipzig his exposure for selection to the England team will be so much less playing in the Bundesliga. Look at the calls for Sessegnon playing for Fulham in comparison to Sancho playing for Dortmund. He probably can’t get anywhere near the wages he could have got with us at his next contract either. Seems a silly move for everything other than his desire to play somewhere he likes.

Tbf there were strong rumours he was in Southgates considerations for the world cup squad on the back of his performances in Germany. Barring injury pretty sure he'll get a call up next season at some stage

Wheres the source that hes sulking and not injured? excuse me of if iv missed something but a lot of negative stuff been said and I don't believe anyone really knows anything

Get atleast 25 and he can go I say. Means we covered our Klaassen loss

I suspect the clubs accountants will be quite pleased at this move if it proceeds. One of the few players that could earn us a healthy profit. May not be what Silva / Brands want to hear but at least it should go towards subsidising the remainder of the transfers in over the next 10 days. It always seemed likely he would be going, and there has been plenty of talk on Twitter (yes I know) referencing his attitude being poor behind the scenes. Sounds like a good outcome for all.

I cant see them letting him go without a replacement coming in otherwise that would just be as incompetent as the last lot with having 1 LB.

Unless we cant get rid of Bolasie!

I like your positive attitude but I don't think we will throw £80m at 2 wingers this summer
Ah well one can only hope, we could have had the transfer wrapped up since before the world cup for all we know at a lower price. Silva and Brands might not fancy Walcoot due to his injury record...who knows these things...an interesting and busy 10-12 days left transfer wise i think

I'd hate to be a footballer nowadays.

More specifically...I'd hate to play for us. The kid hasn't even come out and said he wants to go permanently.... Sure he said to RB he would like to return....but nothing official has come of that.

Don't understand the mob mentality when it comes to this. Give the lad a rest.
