Walcott and Bolasie seemed the only two players on the pitch capable of it today. West Brom found it much easier and it was down to our DMs and full backs looking like they were running through quicksand.

He’s easily our second best wide player and doesn’t even get a sniff because:

1. He’s small
2. He’s inconsistent
3. He’s half decent and that’s not accepted here

I wouldn’t blame him either mate. This no doubt has not turned out how he hoped.

My last bastion of hope comes from maybe Allardyce is reticent to play him with Martina behind him. With an actual left back maybe Allardyce will feel more comfortable playing him.

That said, no excuse for him not being on the bench. None whatsoever.
