Walcott and Bolasie are probably in the box seat, with Vlasic and Lookman looking to break through. You also have to remember that Allardyce is not shy of putting Sigurdsson on the left.
All in all it's a tough ask for the lad. Is it better for him to get 10-15 games at another club or 5 games from the bench for us?
That makes no sense, it really doesn't.
He has been quite inconsistent in his displays sometimes really good , sometimes very ordinary.
He can make very bad choices and can give the ball away in very dangerous places, equally when playing well he is a very potent attacking threat.
His development is not being stunted , he is learning what is needed of an attacking player defensively in the premiership.
His time will come, but the very people calling for his inclusion now will be criticising him for mistakes made and matches lost.
I think the sticking point with most is that a lot would at the very least like to see Ademola given a run especially as Yannick is getting back to full match sharpness.

Another reason why Sam should go.
Even though it's often been as a substitute (occasionally just a cameo role), when he has played he has looked a bright player who clearly threatens teams: the derby being a prime example of this.
While you can question whether he'll fulfil the obviously defensive duties we still require of our wide players, it's fair to have expected him to have had more of a chance.
Linked with Derby today on loan. Think it would be a good move for him to get regular game time until the end of the season. The lad needs to be playing and Allardyce doesn’t trust him as he’s too lightweight and gives the ball away too much. 15 plus games in the championship would help him kick on for next season more than the opportunities he is getting here currently. Another nail in the coffin for us fans who want to be excited and entertained watching us play though...

This really is laughable, pass completion rates: Rooney 78%, Siggurdson 78%, Bolassie 77%, Lennon 69%, Lookman 84%!!!
Allardyce doesn't trust young players, full stop. He's a neanderthal. What Lookman needs is a run in the side for 10-12 games on the bounce then we can judge him. Oh yeah and a new manager!

I think he's too good to have to drop down to the championship for a loan, suppose it would give him more guaranteed paying time. He really should be playing here though.

Even is it’s not satarting for the 12 games he 100% need to be the player we go to when things aren’t going well which is pretty much the norm.
Unfortunately Everton is the last place any creative talent should want to play.
We can thank Koeman, Allardyce & to be completely Honest a large section of our fan base. They laud hard working limited ability players over creative talent.
I said give the ball away not pass completion. I like Lookman and have said I would have him coming on every game for the last 30 to stretch teams and give us something different. I would have him playing every week over Bolasie as I think there’s is much more end product to his game but Allardyce obviously doesn’t fancy him and I would prefer he continues to develop playing competitive football rather than 10 minutes for us every two or theee weeks. At the moment although he does affect the game when he has a bit of space too often he gets bullied off the ball because he isn’t physically strong enough. His passing I have no problem with, but at the moment he tries to hard to impress (not his fault) and gets robbed of the ball too easily.

Crying out for a run in the team and a manager who has some faith in him. He's shown enough to be given one. Bin Bolassie off for a start and give Lookman a go. Play him on the left and let him interchange with Siggurdson in the middle.
I didn't think you were saying he gave the ball away to be honest I thought you meant Allardyce thought he was giving the ball away. I also thought you were talking about not completing passes when you talked about him giving the ball away. If you are talking about losing duels then you're wrong on that score, stats for winning duels: Rooney 33%, Siggurdson 34%, Lennon 30%, Bolassie 42%, Lookman 46%.

Lookman is good coming off the bench, but when he starts games, he goes missing. I think a loan for the rest of the season would be perfect for him.
