I've said it before but when we appointed Steve Walsh I fully expected we would be developing our own talents and bringing in lesser known prospects on the relative cheap. Instead he's identified Mangala. What a hero.

Can't blame Mangala for today's fiasco though mate. He's probably had one session working with a squad before thrown in to a system nobody else knew never mind him.

I wonder what he and Koscielny were saying after the game was over. It can't have been very complimentary or they wouldn't have bothered covering their mouths. Hate it when players do that.

1. He’s 20
2. He’s shown more in his minimal time than most of our squad had shown all season, especially with his most recent performances
3. Tough to be consistent when you only play 15 minutes every 4 weeks
4. He’s just scored a winner on his debut with a team far superior than us. Clearly he has something to add. Just never got a proper chance.

I was never on board, just relieved we had Koeman out the way.

I don’t know if it’s something he can ever get back, but he’s so clearly not right at the moment. Could be physical or mental, maybe both. Makes it all the stranger to send Lookman out and guarantee Yannick a ton of minutes on legs that’s aren’t ready for the load.
 
This lad will be boss and we've mishandled him badly. He should have been getting minutes off the bench. Instead he helps set up a goal against our biggest rivals and isn't in the 18 again. Is it any wonder he wanted to go?Will he ever come back?!! Good luck to him scoring on his debut.
 

Utter joke he was let go on loan. Only positive is that he can return being a much better player and be a first team regular next season

And once again with these players the first defence is their age. If he was consistent and good enough age would never be thought about. Hope the lad comes good but he’s not shown enough in training to 3 managers now to warrant a starting place, or are they all wrong as well
