I believe there is something after death. We don't know the wonders of the universe. The Hindu/Buddhist way makes sense to me, the chakra system, Kundalini and all that kind of thing. Many indigenous people by way of ceremony contacted spirits using psychedelic substances and haven had them myself I get it . Despite not being religious I do think there is an element of truth there. I used to think the bible was a load of twaddle but my opinion has changed since I started studying it recently. I understand and fully respect an alternative opinion. For me which ever way you look at it, its a fascinating subject or at least it is for me.

Yeah mate its pretty obvious people parted the sea and animals took it upon them selves to go two by two on a cruise ship

But is it inconceivable that a small holder put his animals on a boat before the rainy season? That simple tale then gets embellished by charismatic teachers/speakers, so folk end up believing it?

Like charismatic folk who can bend the truth to satisfy some confirmation bias. Remind you of anyone like that recently?

There is much more in the bible than the story of the Arc mate and it simply that, a story. The Garden Eden for example is profound if you approach from a different perspective. if you take as literal then it's nonsensical. I don't know anything but neither do the majority so for me the bible is best used as a way of living as a decent person.

You agree that it's a work of fiction, but you are willing to live your life by it? Very strange.

Been proven many times to be impossible, even with modern marine engineering techniques the ship needed to do this is unbuildable, not just because of the size of it but mainly due to getting rid of the methane smell, everything would be dead after a few hours.

And thats fine mate. I dont take comfort in God, in the conventional way. But I was comforted by stuff that happened after Nikki died. But I have no clue if that was from God, from heaven, the "after life", whatever.

Complete atheist, but i do wonder what is actually out there.
As for the Bible. I have the same point of view as this.
It's embellishment story telling.
Like JC. There probs was a Mary and Joseph. Who clearly because of the age difference were defo not getting it on. I mean boy in his late teens getting it on with a 12 year old. Never. (Wonder where Shakespeare got his idea for Romeo and Juliet from).
So we had this make believe story of immaculate conception that the families bought and decided to believe in.

Could also see that kid, being brought up to believe he was who he was being told he was, having issues and going off and praying on gullable fools who bought into it all.
Probs got crucified cause he grew up to be a mentally unwell adult and that is how they handled that, back then. But the story told plays out a bit different.
Maybe he did hear "God". Schizophrenia, anybody?

As for what is out there after death? I suppose we will all find out 1 day.
I would love to believe there is something. What that is, who knows.
We are a tiny tiny spec, in a vastness of, who the hells knows what. I am open to believe that there could be something else, when we die.
