So, we are signing Aiden in the next couple of days on a pre-contract to get him on a free during the summer or are we paying a small fee, if any, to get him here for this season?

Regardless I think it would be good business, he is talented and we need more squad depth if we are serious about finishing in the top 4 and winning the FA Cup. If he is signed for next season thats good too as, again, we'll need more squad depth for the Champions League.

Spurs got an "exotic" in with Lamela; he's started three games all season because he's struggling to adapt. I can see both sides of the argument but in theory McGeady should be able to come straight in and focus on football.

I see your point also, but I would rather hand try John Mccriricks balls than see McGeady play for us.

I said at the time that I had seen him play for Hamilton as a young kid and was impressed by him (shot down in flames) and that he would turn out to be a fine player for us. Said it earlier in this thread about McGeady as well (shot down in flames) even though I'd seen him play for Celtic on TV.

Yes, it's easy to criticise the Scottish league from a distance and it's not great to watch from close up. however, it does throw up the occasional gem, and we've had a few of them.

Let's just wait to see if McGeady signs first, allow him a few games, then if he's pish...criticise him.

He looks like a proper old-fashioned winger. He's got to be better than Gueye anyway. Hopefully we can negotiate a deal to get him cheaply during this window. It would be exciting to see McGeady, Deulofeu and Mirallas running at defenders.

He's got 7 assists in 12 league games for them this season, so he does have end-product too. He could probably do with scoring a few more though.
