Looked devoid of end product when I've seen him, which was more for Celtic than Spartak to be honest. A creditable signing on a small fee/free though.

I have never seen him play and I don't judge people off Youtube videos, however, he does look like he has got very good balance when running at high speeds which is always a key quality in a player.

I just hope he's not as frustrating as Mirallas because that would annoy me.

Obviously a better wing option than Naismith though.

Ireland winger's time in the Russian capital is almost up and Spartak's former skipper has laid the boot in
Former Spartak Moscow captain Yegor Titov has called Aiden McGeady an 'a**hole' as the Ireland winger prepares to depart the Russian side in this transfer window.

McGeady is expected to quit Spartak after three-and-a-half years with Everton among the suitors for his signature.

The 27-year-old, in recent times, has been an outcast at Spartak after furious rows with coach Valeri Karpin and the former Celtic man's attitude has now been called into question.

"Many people say about McGeady he is, frankly, an 'a**hole'," Titov said according to The Sun. "Even his coach at Celtic expressed such an opinion. The problem is in his head and his attitude.

"But he is a top player and everyone knows it. If he leaves he will leave a big gap at Spartak.

"I'm surprised there are not more clubs interested in him. I am sure he will move to England, maybe to a club fighting for sixth or seventh place.

I wish him luck because he was good for Spartak. But he needs to sort himself out too."

My biggest concern over McGeady is that he hasn't played professionally since 23rd November. Other than that, I think he's a good signing to be making mid-season where integration is vital. Save the exotic signings that need a pre-season to fit in for the summer.

Give me exotic over McGeady every single time.
