That's the key - I agree that McGeady has terrible delivery of a ball from wide areas, but we don't need him for that at all. We need him to be able to take a ball in and run with it, laying off to available players and making himself available for one-two's. I think he can certainly do that.

You're comparing chalk and cheese when looking at McGeady for the Republic of Ireland. They play an archaic system of football compared to us with vastly inferior players.

Exactly, I've seen him many times and what the crowd should be frustrated with is lack of support from the fullback and the likes of Whelan and Green inside. Despite this he still always has a go. He'll thrive now that Trapatoni is gone, he's already playing better.

Good point I forgot about the tax. But it is a much better league and he's willing to move from what I've seen him say in the press and all.

...looking at his stats he appears to have a decent assists record so his crossing can't be all that bad. Remember that our season stalled at this time last year so I'm being positive about the acquisition of fresh faces. Little jinky winger might just be a crowd pleaser linking with our full backs.
 
Everyone keeps banging on about his bad delivery.. his crossing doesn't even seem that awful, neither does his final ball. Maybe a little inconsistent but it's not as bad as people are claiming.

It's not like we throw balls in at every opportunity like b4 we play football look what Martinez has done with jags etc he's already said he can help players technically so he obviously sees something in him... Who honestly thought Alcatraz was a decent signing bobbyrwas really eager to get him signed ASAP and McCarthy so let's trust his judgement everyone signed upto now has added to what we had
