In fairness Arsenal have Pepe, Lacazette and Aubamayang in their front three, being a 23-year-old who isn't as good as those three isn't exactly a huge knock on him.

Touché. Obviously we were all hoping for Zaha and it’s disappointing that didn’t come to fruition, however there are definitely worse alternatives than Iwobi. Hopefully people give him the benefit of doubt and allow some adequate time to settle rather than jumping on his back straight away after 1-2 misplaced passes!

Wasn’t totally convinced about him but have to trust brands on this one.

Recon if we had never been linked with zaha people would be happier about us signing iwobi, just seems like a big drop off after we had our hopes up. But half the price of zaha and 3 years younger

I have the misfortune to drink regularly with 4 Gooners, all match goers but only one season ticket holder. They all think this is good business for Arsenal but have a nasty feeling he could blossom. I would rather have had Zaha, but I'm not convinced the deal was ever really on.

I've always thought he's ok but nothing more but I'll be watching him closely to see if I've underestimated him. He's the perfect age and homegrown too.

My problem tonight isn't so much him. My problem is I'd hoped for much more today.

I think if we would have got a CB it would have made a difference, it’s obviously a concern. I like Mina, but he’s obviously injury prone (or was last year certainly)
