He could be a very expensive backup to Bernard on the left, yes, but then people are saying that he isn't a winger now.

If the long-term plan is to stick with Calvert-Lewin, it'll have to be two up front. I'm not sure where this leaves a player who left his last club because he wants to be a regular starter.

Bernard is far from established as a start every game player. Iwobi could certainly still take that spot.

If Bernard can't get a game ahead of Iwobi, he should be looking for a move.

Iwobi is who we should be looking to move on. What does he actually do? Huge waste of money, poor again today.

What is he though? We've tried him as a 10 and he was rubbish there as well.

Lids on here will say he looks to progress the ball and put more balls in to the penalty area but when he does that it's invariably to nobody.

People do not see this as a skill, so they will say he does nothing. But it is valuable especially in our team of poor midfielders. A good example would be the sequence leading up to the corner before the second goal. His ability to get the ball, turn, and play an effective forward ball matters.

None of these are true except for the doesn't score and assist, and I think he's been a tad unfortunate on that front. Not that he's doing enough, but his figures could easily be a bit more respectable.

I’m not being funny right but Arsenal are no better than us. Aside from Aubameyang who’s head and shoulders above everything we have the squads are fairly interchangeable. Arsenal got rid of Iwobi without any backlash and many were happy to see him go. What makes people think he’ll suddenly come good and be a special player here? He’s not a better player taking a step down, he’s not particularly young and he’s never really shown anything particularly standout in the league. He’s not exactly a serial winner either.

I think they're both pretty bleak. But one is talked about like he should be playing in League 2 and the other is talked about like he's the second coming of Zico.
