Why was he going back towards his own goal, he had time and space to go the other way. You’re not watching properly if you think he pulls his weight, he bluffs, all those running at players then stops when he gets too close to them, he’s frightened to put a full bodied tackle in, in case he gets hurt.

Personally I don't see that. Nor have I ever really seen it from any of our players despite some getting called out constantly.
 

The only thing I would say in his defence (and I am not a fan at the moment) from what he said he didn’t know he was going to be leaving Arsenal till very late in the window, and then when he did he was playing for a team in turmoil for a lot of season and when we finally got a decent manager to back up the cash we have spent the whole season went in to lockdown! So I don’t think we can fully judge him till next season.....but he has a lot of work to do.

He just doesn't seem to be a winger. He does dribble down the line but you get the feeling that he has no idea what is to happen at the end of the run.
I think running directly at central defenders he could be a handful and maybe involved in the game more.

I do think he has been following instructions from CA and acting as a shield for Seamus, he has done this well but apart from the Norwich game he has shown nothing going forward.

Yeah i wouldn't disagree with that take mate. Personally my read is, he needs to play in a team that can play and hold in the final third, that is where he does his most damage, but the ball needs to stick there.

We arent that team at the moment we are a team beating balls over the head of our midfield hoping for a lucky break into space or a touch from a center forward to get in behind on the break or pumping in corners.

How we play doesn't suit the type of player he is. If hes in a team in front of a blanket and you are trying to pick holes that is where he excelled. Like you though i think his confidence is shot, hes trying to put a shift in, but hes been awful really. Its a weird signing, it just doesn't fit.

I'd rather play with 10 men than having Iwobi on the wing. He offers absolutely nothing.

EDIT: Typed that just as Iwobi has the best chance of the match so far.......and didn't score
