After the performance, I am honestly excited for what we brought him in for... 23 years old, not afraid to shoot or create, and plays with some grit. Sign me up every day for that. I'll be honest, at first when the news broke we signed him I was totally underwhelmed. Having seen his attitude and application since has made me happy we have him.

He really looks like he is happy here. Hopefully he won't turn all Everton and become utter gash.

I was excited for the beginning. I know it was just Lincoln but he seemed to spark this flourish of offense for our team when we needed it. Had fantastic movement, shots, and setups

Can we dispel this Bolasie myth now then it’s clear to see he’s almost the exact opposite. An incredibly lazy comparison.

One game should neither dispel nor confirm a myth. It's one game against sub-standard opposition.

Only 5 players have done that in the last 3 years. That may be a slightly unrealistic demand.

Wasn't referring him to Mane as of now - was comparing him to Mane at Southampton ie before he developed into such a top player at the RS.

Only Lincoln yeah but he tried and actually attacked which is more than Everton usually do.

Let's hope he kicks on and gives us an edge.

That's a gross over-exaggeration and is quite frankly ridiculous. I haven't compared Bolasie to Iwobi but you shouldn't be throwing about that term so willy nilly. You've referenced race as the only similarity that >you< recognise, it's odd that you've brought it up. That comparison between the two has nothing to do with appearance.

How about: they are both pacey, tricky players who generally start in wide positions, both joined from London based clubs for almost identical fees. Both of them score at a rate of roughly once every 10 games and both of them assist at roughly once every 6 games prior to joining us.

I haven't made this comparison but the suggestion that anyone has could be racist is a dangerous assertion.
