He is doing a shockingly decent job of filling in there.
He also dithers a lot less in this role thankfully. He cant tackle and you actually see the cogs turning in his head when he is out of position.... but he is getting away with it.

Didn’t do a lot wrong tonight, he’s definitely better on the right than the left. Crossing needs to improve but his link up as a team player is improving. Was fuming a bit when he was subbed, which says a lot about the performance he put in.
Great outlet tonight he will get better.......

If he can take half the air out of those crossed he’d be lethal. As it is he’s playing very well.
He’s getting past defenders on the dribble which relieves pressure and saves us from having to thread a perfect pass or lump it to DCL.

Seems like he’s finally starting to carve out a role for himself, which is encouraging considering how his time here had started.
Excellent again tonight, defensively I was very impressed with him because one of my biggest gripes is he switches off far too much for a pro footballer and hasn't done enough to warrant that lack of responsibility.
Tonight though, can't fault that effort. His crossing was crap tbf but he kept Chilwell busy all night and him and Holgate just pinned that side down and offered them nothing.
He's earned another start again and that's all he can do.

Seeing a bit of a transformation in Alex Iwobi of late, with him putting in another decent performance this evening against Chelsea. Let's hope he can build on his good work.
He won't get a better manager than Ancelotti backing him. He's been name checked a few times now, last one was about how fit he is.
