I’d say apart from the end product that the boss would be relatively happy with his contribution in other ways

but won’t be happy he had to sub him early due to that lack of end product. He would’ve liked to give him the full game I’d say given the number of games in a short period

He's done ok in the main this year and had some good performances, but that has to go down as one of the worst performances I've seen for a very long time. I hope Carlo puts him out of his misery and subs him at HT. Just put it down to a really bad day at the office.
I think he played well in 2 games. The rest have been well below average. A newcastle type player.

I'm going to be a bit kinder here. He's an enigma. Somewhere in there, there is a player. But he's bafflingly bad at times. Lessons learned from folk writing off Davies, DCL, Siggy prematurely... I live in hope he'll come good.

But when he is bad, he is real bad.
He really is. He’s got some footballing skill it’s just that he seems to have no idea what to do with it.

Nobody will go anywhere near him because nobody will pay him anything like he's guaranteed to earn at us until 2024.

He'll be just another in a long line of Everton footballers who will forfeit their careers to sit on their arse, or get continually loaned out, until their contracts are up

June 2024 is a long time away.

He's absolutely atrocious.

Does anyone know how much he is actually on? Something makes me think that he isn't necessarily on massive wages. My hunch is that his wages will be closer to Tosun's than Pickford's?

He really is. He’s got some footballing skill it’s just that he seems to have no idea what to do with it.
And crucially neither do managers. I really don't know that he'd ever be a high level player at any role but the role we've put him in I am certain he couldn't make it at West Brom doing.

Think hes pretty much a player that needs to play every game for form. Earlier on the season he played well with consistent match time. Unfortunately hes unlikely to get that here, so he is relatively useless as a sub or rotation option.

Not a right midfielder as have said before. Just filling in doing a job until we can upgrade. In an ideal world we’d have a clean slate on the wings in the summer - Bolasie and Walcott gone and offload Iwobi, Bernard. Sadly think we’ll be stuck with Iwobi, can’t see anyone giving us even half the cash we spent in a last second of the window panic.

The right hand side has been a problem for years, think Landon Donovan was the last player we had on the right side who had any end product. We’ve had Aaron Lennon, Walcott, Iwobi - none of them anywhere near good enough and no end product. Add in right back and our right hand side is needing major surgery in the summer.

What I dont like about him as well is he comes across as the stereotypical pampered footballer who would rather arse about on social media and do "mad tings" than actually get his head down and go into a battle.

If no one is interested in him in England I hope some German outfit take a punt on him as he offers nothing here imo and its been near 2 seasons here.

Trouble is he can't pick a pass and wouldn't hack it in midfield, so where else could you play him?

I like him he is upbeat but he needs to start taking football seriously otherwise he'll wonder why he's putting on a Wycombe Wanders shirt on in two seasons time , and there ain't no coming back from that .
