Should be kept in house but i felt for him last night, how is he supposed to make an impression when he spends all game marking Holgates man, getting little or no chances to get forward and having zero opportunity to link up with anyone in a forward position. He spends the majority of time with the ball going sideways trying to get the ball out to Digne.

He's been played on the wing his entire career, how many managers has he had? about 10? Not one of them have looked at him and said, yes you're a No 10. They all play him on the wing for a reason. So either get on with it, get a decent cross on you and show you can work for a team. You impress enough you can make a claim to a manager to give you a chance. He's 24 now and hasn't had a run there because he's not as good as other people in that position than others at the club. He's crap and needs moving on. Take out my cross statement and the point still stands, he does nothing to affect a game in a positive manner. 2 goals and 2 assists in the league for us over 2 seasons says it all
If you include international he's had 5 managers as I'm not counting 3 weeks of Ferguson. One manager does play him centrally, two used him as a winger in a system where wingers weren't really expected to pump balls in, one manager was an utter fool and the other is playing him at right back. So he really hasn't spent his whole career playing how we're asking him too.

Get a good cross on him is like asking Gylfi to run faster. Some guys just can't do it. We are actively choosing not to use what skills Iwobi does have.

He’s had 48 other attempts to make an impression.

Have always defended the lad's attitude, he seemed a good egg personality in the squad despite all his faults as a player, but backhanded remarks like what he's posted today are the stuff I expected of a deluded plum like Bolasie, not someone still getting plenty of minutes with the first-team.

Move him on in the summer, we won't get offered much but I'm sure we'll have takers for a loan deal. Not good enough and not determined enough either by the sounds of it.

Why?

Not being funny but does anyone actually know what his position is?

sigh...I know what he means but sometimes you just have to suck it up and put a shift in, Don't hear Godfrey making comments like this and he's been right back left back and all over the shop since signing.
People won't be happy with this and rightfully so after fans went OTT over the plane pic and other things.

I don't see what skills Iwobi does have? He runs at people and loses the ball. His decision making is terrible so playing as a 10 isn't going to solve that. He's got pace and a bit of strength, that's it, that's all I can see in him. He doesn't drive in to the box, he doesn't provide for team mates, he sometimes can keep hold of the ball when required, e.g. the West Brom game. His best game this season was from RWB and that says it all really, he's not suited to the team, he's not good enough to play where he wans to play. Holgate and Godfrey have played out of position a lot of this season and have just cracked on, put in some good/great performances (they have also had poor games) but you can count on 1 hand how many good games iwobi has had this season

Godfrey has played more minutes at CB since last Thursday than Iwobi has played played as a LW or central player the entire season.

Iwobi wants to play central and he's never going to because Siggy and Rodriguez are miles better with more end product this season.

When given the right role he's really quite good at moving the ball up the pitch. People think he gives the ball away too much and but that's really not true, he's not the most accurate passer ever sure, but part of that is actually trying to pass forward and not being Gomes. I also think people remember the one bad pass against Spurs and hold it as him being sloppy when it has literally never happened beyond that one time. We have no ball progression in our team at all and Iwobi has throughout his career reliably brought that to a team when given the chance but pinning him to the right touchline is not that chance.

He's played proportionally out of position more than anyone in the squad. I don't think he should do this but at the same time I get the frustration. It probably isn't a great thing when you're being asked to do something you know you aren't good at and then taking blame for not doing it well.

Siggurdsson doesn't bring enough end product to justify his complete lack of involvement in build up play.
