2020/21 Alex Iwobi

When given the right role he's really quite good at moving the ball up the pitch. People think he gives the ball away too much and but that's really not true, he's not the most accurate passer ever sure, but part of that is actually trying to pass forward and not being Gomes. I also think people remember the one bad pass against Spurs and hold it as him being sloppy when it has literally never happened beyond that one time. We have no ball progression in our team at all and Iwobi has throughout his career reliably brought that to a team when given the chance but pinning him to the right touchline is not that chance.

He's played proportionally out of position more than anyone in the squad. I don't think he should do this but at the same time I get the frustration. It probably isn't a great thing when you're being asked to do something you know you aren't good at and then taking blame for not doing it well.
He doesn't play in his best position because he isn't as good as other players at the club in those positions. Honestly I don't get why you're defending him. He's crap, his output is crap, when he's on the pitch he's shirks responsibility, even of he played left wing he'd still be crap

Siggurdsson doesn't bring enough end product to justify his complete lack of involvement in build up play.
Siggy has been way more effective than Iwobi has this season that's why Iwobi won't get a game at #10 or whatever he wants to play.

The Iceberg doesnt have to be good to be better than the worst player we have in the squad.

Bernard is better than this clown.
I'd actually make the same argument for Bernard, that he should probably play central and deeper, but he's a liability trying to stop people in a way I don't think Iwobi would be.

Sigurdsson is doing the same limiting stuff that he's always done. Gylfi playing the #10 a lot is essentially the never finishing higher than 7th guarantee.

The Iceberg has won us 14 points on his own this season.

Alex the youtube kid hasn't even won us a corner.

Mate, serious question now. Do you actually watch football?

You have some proper baffling opinions
I do, what I also do is not brush over a players faults because I like that they run hard, which is what most of this forum is doing with Godfrey and Doucoure.

Iwobi is by no means a perfect player but it doesn't take a lot to see he's not able to play the RW mostly for lack of knowledge of the spot than lack of any ability at all.
