Its the same thing as people voting for Douroure as MOTM when you say his passing stats were woeful a few posts back. You can still have the most influence on a game by doing other things on a pitch than just passing it. Stopping the other team from playing in the style they want to or nullifying one of their star players can be the reason why Everton won and therefore makes you a good candidate for MOTM.

As Everton fans we all hope he plays amazing in any game and in any position... just wont bet on it though! Seriously though I have zero time for any player who goes to social media to make their case to the world where one of the worlds great manager/coaches obviously disagrees by not playing him there.

That would be great but that isn't how I read his answer today.

I think the only real adjustment he's made with a player is using Godfrey at LB. Otherwise it has just been trying to find the right combo.

Before two weeks ago it would've been more useful, but what I mean is more along the lines of maybe trying Allan out with someone behind him so he's more freed up to attack the ball, having Richarlison stay central. Just different ideas on how to use guys.
