Because in Italy/Germany/Spain, the top clubs are sensational. Juventus, Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona would give City/Liverpool a beating nine times out of ten.

So when you're Lukaku in a second-tier side like Inter but still miles above the rest of the league in terms of standards, you score goals.

Sandro scored goals in Spain, Kean scored goals in Italy - because the gulf in class between the top two or three teams and the rest is akin to the SPL traditionally with Celtic/Rangers.
Lukaku scored 113 goals in 252 appearances in the Premier League, so either the PL is poor, or he is a top performer.

Sandro hasn’t scored goals since returning to Spain. he was a one season wonder, and when Kean has started for us, he has scored.

There are plenty of players who have gone from the PL to other leagues and failed. Ramsey, Coutinho, Lookman etc.

It’s very difficult to compare leagues other than by international competition. The PL is not miles ahead of other leagues, even when the lesser teams play each other in the Europa League.

I just don’t buy the argument that they are miles worse. They do not have the depth, but they are not as bad as is made out. You’re fooling yourself if you think it’s the case.

I think Iwobi is fine as part of the squad to be honest. Its his price tag that is weighing him down as people want more for what we paid for him. Seems to be playing better with the new players around him.

I'd still rather see him make the bench than Walcott, Bolasie, Davies etc.

We need players of decent quality to step in when we have injuries and he's done just fine when called upon so far. Seems liked by the others too.

Seems a good team spirit at the moment

Had a solid game yesterday, not sure why people are still moaning. Created 2 of our goals, firstly with the assist to James then an inch perfect through ball to create the chance for the 4th. If he keeps that form up he's a solid and dependable option in the squad. Iwobi has always been a talented player but his biggest issue throughout his career so far has been consistency and application particularly in big games, if anyone can get that out of him it's Carlo. It is a squad game and we need to back these guys - I know for a fact that almost every player reads social media and forums after games. Let's not tear their confidence down after not instantly filling Richarlison's boots to perfection. ;)

I think those players who are reading social media aren't really arsed what we think. They're more arsed about showing off their latest watches and clobber.

Regardless of how well people think he did throughout the game, he played a huge part in two of our goals that turned out to be gamewinners. That is a huge impact coming off the bench. This man is on a peasant’s salary considering what the other guys were offered during the Koeman/Silvardyce era.

Long may it continue. I had/have my obvious hangups about Iwobi, but he seems to be finding his role. I’m not going to knock him for it. We need to get behind our guys and that includes the likes of Sigurdsson/Davies/Bernard until any of them are no longer at the club. Trust Carlo

I thought he had a mixed game, he game the ball away on a couple of occasions and his first touch let him down a few times but he did well for the two goals particularly the ball to Doucouré. He has come on a bit under Carlo, think he will end up being a good squad player. We need to rid ourselves of quite a few players, he is not the worst of them.

Yeah, so his passing % was 83 though. Not your fault you were wrong, but you were wrong.
83% is nothing special though, is it? He had a good second half yesterday, the through ball to Doucoure was excellent, but 83% is fine, no better. Davies had an 80% for context and he's getting his usual grief in his thread, Delph had close to 90% and everyone still wants him sold. I hope Iwobi continues like he did in the second half but his productivity as an Everton player has been poor to this point. Some scepticism is justified.
