Then why don't any of the other ones do it
The proper answer to this is that we didn’t set up to play progressively last season after the first derby, however if I could be bothered I could look through all our goals last season and find plenty of examples I’m sure. Off the top of my head Keane played a few top through balls, one against West Ham for DCL in the cup I’m sure was him and I’m sure he wasn’t on your list so there’s one more for free.

Why didn't we set up that way?

Mr Iwobi needs to do the good things on a consistent basis.
My conclusion is I'm not sure what the point is (still!) because it starting to seem like it is "some guys make it against bigger odds than those who don't" and all I really have to say to that is duh! Of course!
I think he's saying it's not just talent, but application and desire.

I'd argue that Iwobi won't be short of that, but the truly top talents have that bit extra. Of both. But desire and application are so key.

Your definition of excellence and my definition of excellence are two very different things. He was decent for 20 minutes. Why are you overstating his performance?
He only played for 20 minutes? Explain how can he have a longer period of excellence whent that was all he had?

Yeah if you watch back the game from Saturday and really focus on right after we scored to go ahead you can tell that he actually isn't bothered at all

Average time on pitch with one decent pass if that's enough for you to keep him after woeful performance after woeful performance then that's up to you but I've seen enough to never want to see him in an Everton shirt again.
Lets stick to facts, under Rafael he has been a very good player, we can only judge him based on what we have seen under our manager, and he hasnt let us down, definitely one to keep if we can shift Rodriguez wages off the books.

A new manager brings new challenges and new opportunities for players.
What Benitez wants may suit Iwobi better than what CA wanted, but we don't know that yet and won't know for a number of months yet.
It is far too early for us to judge any player yet.
I would say that goes for a number of players. Richarlison seems more involved and up for it but was that fan involvement, manager tactics or high of the olympics?

I don’t know you’d have to ask Ancelotti!
At no time after the first derby did we play on the front foot though like we did during Iwobi’s 20 minute appearance Saturday.

I’m saying that Iwobi might benefit from this style of play even though he was crap last season. Richarlison also had his best game in ages, Doucoure looked brilliant too and was more 7/10 last season in my opinion. To say nobody other than a couple other players and Iwobi could play that through ball is nonsense though.

Again I'd just like to see other players do it if they're capable of it. To this point I haven't.

And the reason we don't set up that way is the vast majority of our team is bad at passing including a couple of our better players.
