Hopefully he can keep these performances up and we get a decent fee in the Summer.

Stolen a living the past 2.5 years, one good game doesn't make up for how utterly dire and uninterested he's been.
My thoughts exactly. One swallow doesn’t make a summer. Let’s hope he maintains this form and puts himself in the shop window for maybe one of the promoted sides to make a bid come the summer.

Two words Frank Lampard uses regularly are 'work ethic' and that's what Iwobi showed on Saturday. If he keeps it up along with the rest of the team, he will hold his place and we will win more games and rise back up the table. Perhaps make a great cup run. I believe the manger and his team will instill and maintain that work ethic as they are examples of what it takes to be a winner at the top level. It's also worth noting that as soon as the final whistle blew, Seamus Coleman ran up to Alex and told him what a great game he'd had and that's the kind of effort expected in every game. The future looks brighter.

Agree, hope this kick up his arse makes him up his game for rest of season, but I’d still love to get rid and £10mill for him in the summer, he isn’t good enough For us and we all know

If he put in a performance like that even once every 2 or 3 games then he's worth keeping around

He should of shown that in last 2 seasons, can forgive any player having off days, but having off days for 95% of them is not good enough. Hopefully we offload him and Gomes for half decent fees and go for Bissouma(I’m dreaming I know ?) our midfield needs a total rebuild

Everton fans are now thanking him for actualy showing a bit of determination. Thats how low the bar has been set. Thanks for looking interested.

Van de beek has already shown that in his only game for the club.

I suppose everybody deserves a clean slate under a new manager. Even this fella. But i cant just erase nearly 3 years of p!ss taking.
Your first paragraph is spot on, that is how I saw Iwobi’s performance on Saturday. I think he will play atSouthampton on Saturday if only to give Gray more time to be properly fit, let’s see him play two decent games on the run, now that would be a novelty.

Please vault me if I’m wrong on this, but away from home he will revert to type!! He probably will play and we know he will disappoint!

All true, but IF Lampard gets those sorts of performances out of him regularly, then some of the problem must lie with the way he was managed. (But only some).

Well I agree with the fact that he's capable but hasn't shown it for some reason. Let's hope it's not a one off and he puts in a shift consistently. If good fees came in for both however then yes. Don't think we should be selling on the cheap though

Well I think that because he has form for it, it’s up to him to prove most of us wrong. Although he played better on Saturday there was nothing remarkable about his performance except for him being in the game a lot more than he usually is and made less mistakes.

Definitely looked better through his work rate and to be honest done a couple of nice flicks and passes to keep the attacking going, but I’ve seen him play too many times where my mum might as well been on the pitch with her dyson

I think it’s clear Frank is stressing to the players that it’s ok to try some things and not play it safe while also stressing the hard work side. Iwobi actually went at some players Saturday. With other managers he was only ever playing it safe. Get him a bit of confidence and freedom and just maybe there’s actually a player in there.

He is 26 now….under performed at us and Arsenal

Basically an average player, who thinks he is far better than he actually is….. and very lucky to be playing in the Prem and be earning what he does
100% he’s not been a world beater but we need as many guns firing, if we get behind him maybe we’ll see him string a few good games together and at this point in the season we need that
