He wasn’t expecting it, nobody expected that silly pass. I think everyone will agree that iwobi was the worst option in front of Keane. Iwobi knows he is not in an ideal position to receive any pass and was trying to move on to a better position, hence the awkward body shape and the miscontrol.
He’s a professional footballer playing in midfield. Not expecting to be passed the ball by a CB who’s just yards away is criminal.

Keane isn’t worth a toss and I can’t stand the coward but the fault is Iwobis.

It really isn't. I mean I'm grading on a curve here because it is Everton but he played people into great positions more than a handful of times. It was quite impressive imo.
Thought that sort of free 8 position he was playing quite suited him tbh. He was able to pick up the ball in good areas and the quality was there for the most part.

Anyone can miscontrol a ball, most of our players do it multiple times per game.

I've got more of an issue with Keane marauding into midfield for no reason when his centre back partner was already out of position, and our naivety tactically that it took one ball for Antonio to be 1 on 1 with Pickford.

Was taking on the challenge of making killer passes for the first half...not quite sure what came of that experiment...looked fancy.

2nd half was Andre Gomes levels of dire.

Im not sure why we didnt play Gordon there.

Game of two halves for him. Looked confident first half and always looking to play it forward, then as soon as he made that mistake he completely fell apart.

Seems like there’s nobody in the dressing room who can get everyone’s heads together when things go south. Michael Keane being captain today pretty much summing that up.

And Boris Johnson is a competent and trustworthy Prime Minister my son.

God bless.

He was our best player then made a terrible individual error. Its hard to explain really. Its been one step forward then 2 back all season for so many players.
This is why we are likely to be relegated. None of our players are reliable.

Iwobi can be as positive as he likes, but there is always a fatal error in him. Richarlison is the same. Can be relied on only to miss the chance when it comes.
