Genuinely thought he was useless so it's been a pleasant surprise to see his mini run of form. It's quite telling how often his team mates look for him to pass to when in congested areas, they obviously trust him.
Yes we need him to perform at this level for the rest of the season. I'll judge him by his performance against the the red shoite (if he plays) to see how big his heart really is and how committed to the cause etc

It is a pleasant surprise that he’s on a mini run of form. He needs to continue this to help our cause. - don’t understand why it’s taken two years to show us he can be useful though!!
The reality is a lot of the players who we need to step up are going to be out the door first opportunity the club gets or at least I hope so!!

If he has been capable of the performances he's made over the last few weeks all along, then he's been having us over for the past few years.
Not really.
He has always said he wants to play in the middle, we can put him back out on the wing and probably go back to mediocre performances.

At least we probably now know the position that best suits him.

Working great for him in the middle of the park with less time to think, when given time he panics. if he can keep this form going he might have a career with Everton after all!

First step Saturday on a very long road of redemption. Has technique but generally is a lazy sloppy so and so, but for once put a shift in, open mind if he can keep it up.
I don’t think I’d ever criticise him for being lazy tbh.

I think one of the main reasons he was used on the wing so often even though he was offering nothing in terms of actual wing-play was for his willingness to get back and provide cover for his fullback.

It’s no secret within the squad he’s got bags of talent. Shows it in training all the time apparently.
We just haven’t seen it until recently. I’d love nothing more than for him to continue his form but I have a feeling he’ll revert to type at some point soon.

Not a big fan (esp Everton players) who jump straight onto social media after a win. I see it and i dont even follow any social media that much. Fair enough i might be to old and i prefer players to just get on with it without all the ego thing.
Digne was the worst. Iwobi does it when he has the odd good game.
Not for me all that.

seems to be experiencing an upturn in form due to be playing further back in midfield similar to joelington from Newcastle who was equally abysmal playing a more forward role.

Into the last 2 years of his contract at the end of this season isn’t he? So right in the frame for renegotiation or sale.
I do hope his recent performances have become his new benchmark rather than a purple patch, especially if he’s to be retained.

He always makes himself available though, which certainly helps and when he gets it, he looks to be progressive, take the ball on the turn, break the line and transition it forward quickly.

He knows what his responsibilities are in the middle and unlike others, he certainly doesn’t hide in this position.

Looks like a completely different player in the No.10 position...his passing and dribbling is so much more useful in this role. Full credit to Lampard, could start to see a turn-around in his career at Everton.

So if he doesn't get to play in his favourite position then he doesn't try as much? Really dont like that attitude.

The running he did on Saturday for example was great to see but he could have run just as hard and just as fast when he was being played on the wing (e.g. up and down the line to give more defensive cover) but seemingly choose not to for game after game after game. Lost count of the number of times opposition players just ran past him without much response, or token response at best from him.
