No, people like him now because he's playing better. Evertonians like to pretend that it is all about work but the only example of that really is Stracq, the others were at least decent players for the most part. Like Tim Cahill didn't just work hard.
Some of us have been at this for 50 years or more and don't need telling what is or isn't an Everton player.
Especially by a yank

The fans will always back a player that they can see is giving 100% regardless. Working hard with and without the ball should of been instilled in all of the squad years ago, thankfully that seems to have sunk in and Everton have someone with legs whereas before there was a player who literally hid and shirked responsibility. We aren’t digging players out for the sake of it (well, until you are pictured with a clutch bag for some of the angry da’s) we just want you to give us everything and you’ve been transformed these last few months. Well in Alex, keep working ?

Been great last handful of games. Transfers that across a full season and we may have ourselves a bit of a player.

Who's have ever thunk it?

Onwards and upwards Wobes
Question is can our Tom now be transformed?

He’s playing better because he’s working harder.

Him working his socks off is absolutely what the crowd has reacted to, which has boosted his confidence and therefore improved his play.

He’s even said so himself.

Tom Davies?

Hopefully he gets transformed into the form of a cheque for about 10 million pounds or so as he goes to Norwich.
Not bad money, but Tom came onto the scene on fire and then turned into a bit of a wet fart. He’s still only 23, right? Im just saying never say never.

He can do the basics well enough, and is a good athlete, so there'll always be a gap he can plug if he maintains this level of motivation.

One thing he's very adept at is carrying the ball (a bit like Barkley without the skills), which is great when you're under the cosh and need an outlet against a better team.

At least Iwobi has pace.

What does Tom have currently that we know of? Passing range is limited, pace is non-existant, goal threat - 0, what does he offer?

Congrats mate, if you've not noticed you all have developed some dead weird behaviors in that time, including this post.

It wouldn't have mattered if he were pinned to the right wing trying to get crosses in all match I'm certain of this. Pretend it is just effort all you like, the product matters and you can keep telling yourself it doesn't because I'm not going to change your mind.

Who knows I used to think Iwobi offered nothing or dare I say Rondon. Who knows maybe there’s something in Tom yet to be unleashed.

Yeah but again, Iwobi played quite a bit, had pace, decent technique, we knew about these things.

Tom bs'd a goal against City and that's been his career lol Even Gosling had more to show than that

Why would I pretend it was hard work? Why would the root of it matter to me either way?

I’m telling you what I’ve observed.
