Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realise there was a plain of pompous enlightenment unattainable to those of us who value effort.

Now I know, I’ll be more deferential in future.
Sure man whatever.

Seen about 70 who could of seen this coming posts in this thread and I did see it coming so ask yourself why that might be.

Then you Sir are an idiot. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.
Every. Single. Time.
If you think I'm disputing whether it matters you're missing the point.

We spent years asking Iwobi to do something he isn't good at and then when we stopped he got a lot better as a player. Yet somehow the only thing that changed was he worked harder. Just get out with that.

Back on topic though folks, he’s been playing well under Frank hasn’t he?

Playing well in comparison to his usual dreadfulness.

The Newcastle goal has been the clear trigger with the fans thankful, his confidence boosted and massively improved workrate and desire.

Beyond that goal theres really not been any end product. Playing him doesnt take anything away from the team...but other than effort im not seeing 'quality'.

I don't see any increased work rate from Iwobi, he has always worked hard, just without any end product. But he always made himself available, always found space to receive a pass, tried to beat his man and drive forward.

Now that he is playing a different role he is more successful in what he is doing. But to suggest his issues before were due to lack of workrate is nonsense. It's because he was trying to do things he wasn't very good at.
