But the guy is getting paid big bucks and probably asking for 100kplus on his new contract...I would want to see more end product at that price. Running and putting a big shift that's great and would expect it from every single player on the pitch. His passing and especially his building play has been good too...but that end product is still his achille heels.
He has five assists guys. He played DCL in today. The end product is not an issue.

Right now we should be begging him to sign a deal. His best move would be to run it down and see what happens.

Did not say it was an issue...I would want to see more before open the cheque book...for sure he is the only attacking treat for us but bearing in mind that we are the worst in the league in that compartment, not too difficult really to shine out of a horrible bench of footballers.

I haven't seen too many people stating this apart from Lampard.
His improvement has been brilliant and he is now finding consistency and is now a good player. One of the best we have but not one of the best in the league. I feel majority of Evertonians echo that sentiment.

Did you just put that statement in for effect?
There has been loads of stuff on social media this week, even from non Evertonians going well over the top about him.

So no I didn't.

He needs to perform for about 2 seasons to be considered a great player, not a few months.

But right now I do rate him highly. Hope he keeps it up and his work rate is excellent.

Our fanbase (online at least) have embarrassed themselves with their exaggerated praising of Iwobi. Acting like he's one of the best in the league ?. That miss was just typical of an Everton player.

However, I do think he's improved massively and have a lot of time for him at the moment. He's being let down by the others around him as he's been covering the ground and always trying to make things happen.

He's a good player but people need to realise the context of being a stand out player in a worse than mediocre team..
Was a terrible miss last night.

I've stood well away from the praise because he has been the definition of what was has been wrong with Everton over the last few seasons and I don't trust the Iwobi the player. Technically very good just lacks the effort, think Coady think Gordon.

A few good games does not rectify some awful performances in effort and they stretch more than previous manager tenure despite the recent revisionism by him.

Strongly believe his upturn in performances is down to knowing he would be entering contract extension and he has an eye at getting out.

He’s massively improved being moved to the centre (think that’s behind the improvement and good man management by Lampard), looks much more confident. The best of a bad bunch of our attacking/creative players but don’t know if he’ll ever be enough of a killer in the final third - difference between him and Maddison last night was an eye opener.

Lacks effort? He tops our running stats every week. The only one willing to press yesterday

Only one there yesterday who could hold his head up and say he played well and put a shift in. If he had players who could run off him and play the ball sharply he’d be even more effective

Since switching him to midfield I think we have won 4 games in 30.

Huge really.

I’ll get pelters for it but I still don’t see it with him.

At best he’s a number 10 who can take a shot from distance and can slide a through ball now and again.

He has good moments in matches absolutely, with end product as well undeniably, and he’s definitely our best option in there.

The rest of the time though I just see a player with a poor first touch, who takes too long to make his mind up what to do with the ball, can be really sloppy in possession, doesn’t make the play.

For me he’s the guy waiting for a real midfielder to move the pieces around the board and then he’ll add the finishing touch whether that’s a pass or a shot. We’re giving it to him from the centre backs and he has absolutely no idea what to do with it that deep.

He’s just not a midfielder in my view but at the moment he’s playing better than anyone else we have in there.

For me I’d go Onana and Garner deep in a two and put Iwobi behind the front three.
