He still doesn’t have a position. Not good enough to be an attacking midfielder, he doesn’t have the killer instinct in the final third. Not good enough to be box to box, looks like he’s been a forward all his career when he’s out of possession. If we’re ever going to be a top half team again, he’s not in the long term future, wouldn’t lace Arteta, Piennar, Barkley, Siggi, James’ boots.
Got panned a few months ago for saying his assists wouldn’t continue at that rate and he’s not scoring or looking like scoring. Sell in the summer for whatever we can get.

Weight of pass is irrelevant when not a single player wants the ball.

He barely got into the game and when he did, did nothing with it. He’s meant to be our most creative midfielder.
Regardless, even if he was poor on the ball, the worst part was that he was part of a midfield that got completely overrun, outfought and outplayed. Going gets tough, he disappears far too often.
