Frank on Alex Iwobi's injury: "We hope it's not too serious. It looks like an ankle ligament injury. He will have a scan tomorrow to confirm."

Thats a little bit naughty that image.

Iwobi's ankle buckled when he landed (which is what is happening in the photo) The image looks like his has just gone in and crunched his ankle which wasnt really the case.

It was just unfortunate for me.

Annoyingly we then go and concede an own goal right after it to double our luck.
Yeah it's very misleading, wasn't a red at all, saying that if one of our players did it....

Mild, low-grade ankle sprains will usually heal in one to three weeks with proper rest and non-surgical care (such as applying ice). Moderate injuries may take between three and four weeks. Because of limited blood flow to the ligaments of the ankle, more severe injuries may take between three and six months to heal.

So if we factor in the revered Everton care team then he’s out for a minimum of 6 months. Get well soon Alex

He’s not created anything since the palace game early October
Don't wish the lad any harm, but he has stole a living for most of his time with us, finally puts in several performances prior to world cup which coincidently coincide with timing of contract extension talk. He is a serious downgrade on creative players we've had over the last 5 years and is an example why we are in the mess we are in the league.

He was having a very poor game, countless passes straight to them under little pressure and really I don't think he's been on it at all since mid October and his decline has mirrored the teams form bar Palace where he scored and played well.

Still following on from Patterson it's obviously not good news key first 11 players are getting long term injuries especially as I don't think significant signings will arrive until later on in the month.

Honestly his form hasn't been great but he's the fittest player in the squad and will be a massive loss remember the goal against Newcastle everyone he's got that in his locker

Hes super fit, runs hard, tries hard. Wish him a speedy recovery. But I dont think any club in the top half would make Alex Iwobi their main playmaker. In fact few in the division. We seem to reward mediocrity.

We need someone who does what he does and scores goals. But it is a crushing blow because we have little creativity and energy as it is
