Look the assist is silly I think we all get that but the consistent ability to find people moving forward continues to be very valuable to the side

I thought he was ok today. Hes a luxury player, but has got himself to a point where he makes an impact on games even when hes not at his best.

He also wasted a fair bit of time, and show composure in the ball in the final portion of the game. That shouldnt be underestimated. I know it's not the hipster stuff we all like, but we are a poor team, playing a particular way and that stuff is essential.

Seems like Docoure has made him worse. Also the defense can squeeze the midfield a bit more w/o a decent forward.

Thought he had a decent match tho.

He plays in key positions that dictate whether we score or not, and bar a purple patch of 2 months 1 year ago he's a player that needs replacing for someone who is more consistent in linking up with a striker and offering a higher quality level of support in the last third of the pitch, he has the right ideas but is woeful at producing them. It's a fair call to say he is someone we should be selling, just because he plays a bit better than some of the others in our side is not a ringing endorsement of him at all.

His passing honestly causes me physical pain, why does he have to smash everything into feet? I appreciate he’s probably trying to quicken the tempo up and inject some pace into the attack, but he really has no clue how to do it effectively. He doesn’t take care of the ball.
I have also noticed that when he takes a set piece, more often than not the ball is hit in a high loop. This makes it easier for opposition players to pick the flight and adjust their body positition to clear the ball. At the same time it makes it harder for our players to head the ball with sufficient power or direction.
If we are to place greater emphasis on set pieces he needs a better delivery

He has a really weird crossing technique in general where he sort of stabs at it rather than getting his foot around it and creating the whip. It’s very easy to defend against because there’s never any pace on the delivery, it’s always floating away from goal.

Scoring goals isn't a luxury

The wild idea would be getting people who can score and are an actual threat. I mean, mad concept, but it’s how you tend to win games

I think it’s a much better idea than keeping the squad we currently have and not even trying to improve it.

I'm all for improving the squad. Just think we should start with out worst players, assuming the strategy is not transferring 10 players at one time and replacing them immediately with a different team
