wonder if iwobi can see something coming down the tracks with us all this talk of us being skint etc not like he moved to a boss club , couldn’t wait to leg it to fulham

Iwobi stepped his game up and put plenty of effort in. Quality and composure wasn't always there, granted.
When he decided not to sign a new contract, he didn't wind it down and go on a free, which would have allowed him to maximise his earnings. Because of that, the club got a good price for him.
Respect
That's probably the healthiest and most sensible way to look at it.

I am more concerned about our finances and squad but that's on us, not Iwobi.

Iwobi spent a lot of time travelling to London to see friends/family. Now he doesn't have to do that journey and at the very least gets paid the same wage while still.playinh in the Premier League and more than likely has a relegation clause in his contract.

Decisions really can be that simple for a player. We had little choice but to sell, as he wasn't signing a new contract any time soon.

Might be as simple as him being a London lad also. If one bottom half team is offering you the contract you want in the location you want to be and another one won’t give you the wages you want and isn’t in your preferred location then it would be an easy move for most people.
