Last time I checked, in order to sell, somebody needs to want to buy.

There is also how much we are prepared to sell for to throw into the mix. If we are scaring potential suitors who are thinking we'll just wait a year then we deserve what we get. However we might be lining up the ducks with our completely new wide forwards (bar McNeil of course) and then Iwobi can be let go for sensible money or like you say he'll sign a new deal.

Its rare today if someone is interested that its not reported somewhere. Has he been linked with a move away to anybody? I cant recall a solid report that anyone actually wants him.

So are Iwobi , Gomes and Gbamin all out of contract at the end of the season? That's £300 k a week saved for zero contribution on the pitch.
No wonder this club is broken.
Didn't Iwobi say he wanted Champions league football? A bizarre thing to say, from someone who has all the impact of Charlie Drake on our games. Maybe Celtic or TNS are looking for a creative mid.

I keep reading that over and over in this thread. To who? Nobody is paying a high transfer fee for him.
Or are willing to match the ridiculous wages this player is on, he has won the lottery every bleedin’ week he has been here, he’s earned £1M for every goal he has scored in that time and that’s being conservative.

Don't be an idiot. He played very well against Fulham. Perhaps you were sat behind a pillar and couldn't see? Or more likely weren't there at all.

If he wont sign a new deal we have to try and sell.
Yup, no choice. I genuinely rate him and would like him to sign the contract but if he’s not going to we have to get rid.

We can’t be losing him for nothing, plus a potential move and AFCON mid season will both be distractions.

That said with actual wingers coming it might persuade him to sign if we’ll play him through the middle where he’s best. Got to make a decision quickly though.
