But he’s not better at playing through the lines than MacAllister and Eze at all?

I am Iwobi fan, but hes not at their level, particularly MacAllister.

When we were good, I sort of thought he could be a luxury player for a championship team. That's sort of what we have become a bit, and he stands out, because we have lost a lot of quality.

He is probably a little better than that, as he works very hard and covers ground. But its mainly we have got worse.

If we can get 30m for him and Gray, it's good business.

Good business is under selling it a bit. £30m for those two would be the best bit of outgoing transfer business this football club has ever done. I mean that as well, no exaggeration at all.

He’s running down his contract, 12 months left

£15m is amazing value for him.

If I’m not mistaken it also shows profit for on the books which helps getting others in
Correct, we would recognise a profit on his sale this year, probably something close to 10m. And he is also a high earner.

I'm very much in favour of selling him now to avoid a free transfer, but we need to reinvest the funds or its a waste of time.

I said that during the game, he was the exact sort of player we needed last night.
Never thought I’d ever type that.
We missed his industry undoubtedly but unfortunately he just doesn't add nearly enough creativity to that industry.

He could do well at a club who have already got creative players in the team.

Iwobi is rated far higher outside of the club than he is by Evertonians.
Fulham fans will consider it cheap at around 20m whereas it is good business for us.

Didn’t elaborate in my post but I meant generally £15m for him is poor value in today’s market.

He’s worth that much because he’s only got a year left on his deal, not because he’s worth that much generally.

On a longer contract I’d expect us to get minimum £10m more for him - my point was that our management of his contract has cost us a lot.

As you say though, if we sell him it’s profit on the books and we can hopefully reinvest elsewhere.

If we sold Iwobi and bought Gnonto, I’d be delighted. If we sold him and bought Cornet, I’d be gutted.
