Thought he was very good today, by far our most dangerous player. Wish he had more conviction when he gets in a goal scoring position. He’s a conundrum, not good enough but better than what we’d replace him with if sold. Need him this season.

Thats the perfect summing up. I just cant believe people who think his running about makes him good. He's physically fit. Great.
He is a major major part of this crap team. And has been since the day he arrived.
 
It's such a huge part of the problem that he's our go to £40m man. I actually thought he did well today, but he just doesn't affect the game enough for the price tag we paid and he never will.
 

He was as good as anyone else yesterday, better than many, but his primary weakness is not one that can be coached out of him, nor one that grows with age and experience. He has no bottle, none whatsoever. His first thought when he gets into a dangerous position is to give it to someone else, to let them take the risk.

Again. Nail on the head. You just wonder when the penny will drop with some. Look at him tackling. No conviction. Dont tell me team mates dont see this and know it. Been saying this for 2/3 years now that you really dont want players like this around the club. Dont get sucked in with the tippy tappy looks a good 5 a side player in training. He's an awful player to go into battle with. Coupled with he produces next to nothing end product. Much rather give a start to a hungry player who is brave and wants to win 50/50 challenges. Not fake it. Like this lad. Some might think i go over the top about him. But he is the epitomy of so much that is wrong at Everton.

The minute he has to think, make a decision, or his brain has to kick in...he's done.

Always been the same. Some "hope" came when he played as a CM but most of that were Hollywood balls without much thought and some paid off.

So many posters saying he was motm or had a great game.

He ran around alot and had zero conviction in end product.

Be it a tackle, shot or final ball....all non-existent.

He and Gray just frustrate the life out of me...both need selling and replacing.

The fact he is also not signing a new deal highlights it further.

Didn't he say he wanted Champions league football? (Stop laughing at the back!) Celtic, TNS and Linfield on high alert. £30m we paid for him. THIRTY! Jeez, he is the epitomy of bog average.
