He's a very well known American right wing conspiracy theorist.
He started off in the late 90's with mostly the usual stuff (Illuminati controlling the world, 9/11 an inside job, Chemtrails and the like), but in the past few years he's swerved violently off towards the right wing christian nationalist crowd. Lots of talking about demons, devil worshipping and child sacrifice amongst 'THE ELITE' and all that, He's mostly been a bit of a meme for a while:
The problem is, hilarious as he seems to be to sane minded people, he actually has a lot of people who follow him and believe a lot of the nonsense he spouts.
In this case, he falsely claimed that the Sandy Hook massacre (a school shooting where 27 people were killed, most of them very young children) was a fake story and that no children were really killed, all acted out to justify stronger gun laws so they can "take away your guns"
Some of the parents of the murdered children were targeted by Jone's followers and accused of being crisis actors and some had to go into hiding.
This case is the parents suing him for defamation over his comments and subsequent refusal to apologise or retract his statements.
The guy is an absolute POS and I hope they take every last penny from him.

I struggle to figure out how much of it he believes, or how much of it is pure grifting because he likes the fame, attention, and money.
It's the sort of stuff that's like an evil flipside to Brass Eye and what Chris Morris does. But with far more horrible consequences. Either of the above reasons ilarent great, but if he's grifting it's arguably worse - because he knows nutters are lapping it up with the chance of trouble and stirring it for personal gain.

Clearly a lot of it is an act, I think that meathead Rogan said as much, that it's more of a character then his actual personality.
I do think he believes a lot of the conspiracy stuff though. But yeah, still a massive grifter.

Was really ahead of it’s time. He spends time with Jones, and with him, infiltrated the Bohemian Grove lodge in the States, an exclusive party for world leaders, and the elite men of the world to gather, get drunk and amongst other things, perform a ritualistic burning of a giant owl (all true and documented).
Think at the time, Jones was a relatively honest guy, looking to uncover genuine truths about hidden stuff.
Obviously since then, he realised he can spout more and more ludicrous stuff, affecting more of a character performance, while hawking all sorts of garbage products on his channel, for immense amounts of cash.
Clearly with the Sandy Hook and false flag stuff he went well over the line into tasteless, thoughtless and genuinely damaging territory, and now the bellend has been well and truly found out and is gonna pay the price. Unlucky.
