Ive never watched him aside from 5 minutes on youtube mate. I hold no opinion on him currently.

I used to disagree with that shout until recently when I noticed everton, Burnley and southampton all play 4-4-2. All then clubs are currently 10th, 11th, 12th. So I agree the formation just doesn’t work in the long run.

It works, but my God it requires the perfect players to fit it and those players cant be just plucked.

Been no real successful 442 teams in the past 10 years+. Even Southampton's looks a little bit more fluid but to neglect just 2 in a midfield when majority of teams have three is a big no-no.

Only one I can remember is leicester. But that was a fluke and with a juiced up Kante.
