Yeh agree it can work with the right players. It works for Burnley. The state of some of them players and if they tried to play anything other than a 442 they would be bottom 3.

It takes time for people to learn the system, its unlike any other system most players are used to.
It requires a different skillset, teamwork and hard work.
Its not easy to pull off.
In 90% of games you are playing 2 v 3 and sometimes 4 in the middle of the park, it requires ELITE CMs.

Yes it does but it also requires wingers and forwards who can hold onto the ball. When a team has 3 in the middle against you they just pass it around you so when you get the ball you need to try and keep hold of it for abit. That si something we seriously cannot do. Davies, Gomes, Iwobi, Bernard, walcott, DCL etc etc all been culpable recently for giving the ball away sloppily and getting to easy turned over. Elite CMs will help but without others around them to control the ball, have good movement and pass a round shaped object to each other, it’s sort of counter intuitive.

Oh I agree mate, this is why I've said we need a RB and RW as urgently as we need CMs.

Its like when people think players can just fit in anywhere in a side, sure some players can adapt to a few different roles, but most players have spent their whole life playing a certain way and expecting them to just do something else like is a bit of a stretch.
People think its like down the park when you would suddenly decide you are gonna go up top and play number 9 after being CB all game or when your keeper wants a run out at Left Wing.
