Confirmed Signing Allan

Exactly.

So because of previous crap buys - such as Sandro - on huge wages, we need to shift those players before we can bring in more players on £5m a year.
I could see Sandro move on this window for good. He's still really young, he knows he needs to move somewhere and get a new contract because he hasn't been covering himself in glory lately.

However, Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintains Allan has given his word to Ancelotti and will reject every other option.

The 29-year-old Brazilian has his heart set on reuniting with the coach who Napoli sacked in December.

Think he's 25.

I know it's not 'old' but it's not like he's 21/22 either - as in I think he's had 3 successive seasons now where teams realise that season at Malaga was a fluke.

I always wanted him to do well somewhere as I almost feel like we completely scuppered his career in about 3 months and he never actually did that much wrong other than not be what we actually needed at that time (or for the role he was played in).

But, on circa 100k a week I obviously don't feel any pity for him and he's an absolute drain on our wages. The issue is he has to be willing to take a massive hit on his wage and has a year left on his deal.

I get that, pretty much all of it. I just think, at 25, he is going to want to move somewhere stable for the next 4 years. I could see him at about 40k at a Spanish club on a 4 year deal tho.

Hopefully this guy also has some leadership qualities and certain standards. We’re crying out for someone who can perform, or maybe become better, during a game when we’re getting beat....

I hope Al waltzes into finch farm, gets Davies by the hair of the head and escorts him off the premises.

Davies isn't fit enough to re-use Al's scummy shower water out bottom of shower tray, let alone share the same locker room.

Obviously, Allan walks into our starting XI in midfield. But, for those of us who haven’t watched much of him, who does he pair best with? A more offensive minded CM like Gomes or more of a DM like Gbammin?
