Confirmed Signing Allan

I'd have Bernard over Iwobi all day long. And that's not an endorsement of Bernard just a reaction of how bad Iwobi is.

With Allan there every match other players would get alot more space.

If it was me though id sign 2 Allans and not go for Gomes or similar next to them.

Go back to the dogs of war style for a couple of seasons.

Bernard will defo go for FFP reasons imo

Iwobi has been rubbish but willing to give him another year

oh Iwobi isnt going anywhere regardless of his performance. Nobody is paying what we bought him for or even close ot it. Bernard is the obvious choice even if he is a much better footballer.

It's a shame as Bernard has a brain and good technique but a lack of end product, with actually footballers next to him in midfield I think we'd have seen a more positive influence from him.

So what you're sying Keith Azul was bang on when he said that we were signing Allan Saint Maxi...

From google searches Allan is on €70k a week. I imagine the figures you have are after tax.

Was based on an article in The Athletic, Zat.

Still, on the Sandro point (they are different because Allan obviously wasn't a squad player at Napoli until this last season) I really can't see any Spanish team paying him 40k per-week, unfortunately. And even that would require him to take a huge drop.

He (Bernard) was tosh after the restart but in Ancelotti's first few months was actually really consistent, and worked as a '10' with the freedom to cut in from the left.

We do need improving all over the pitch but unless someone comes in with a good offer don't think left wing is a massive area of concern if we can sort out the centre and the right.

It's been two years of Bernard clawing and struggling to get within range of maybe being an average winger and people still think there is hope he will magically become brilliant.

Nah. Sell now and pray someone has missed the memo before it is too late.

He’s been tosh for 2years the left hand side has been a huge concern. Apart from when Richarlison has played there

I would sell for peanuts just to get his wage gone.I’d give Gordon next season down the left

He had a few great games at home when playing in the left and coming in and finding space. Does seem to go missing a bit away though. Yeah I think its not a concern but unless a good offer comes in, focus has to be elsewhere.

Well he hasn't really. When we were decent towards the end of Silva's first season him and Digne were key because of their link up down the left. It wasn't Baines-Pienaar but there was definitely a nice little partnership which for some reason got torn up.

And Richarlison is wasted out wide left unless it's in a front three really. He's not a winger, he's a forward.

Yes, we do need to improve, but we do also have options there - like you say, Gordon is one who looks like he could get a run there and I'm sure he will. But we also have other areas we need to address first.
